Job Summary
Manufacturing Technician III – Packaging (Day Shift) responsible for setup, changeover, repairs, and preventative maintenance of packaging equipment (picker, sorter, labeler, packer, checkweigher, printer, inspection equipment, palletizer, stretch-wrapper, conveyors). Performs mechanical and electronic troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performance; provides basic mechanical training to Packaging Technicians and supports continuous improvement projects. Operates and monitors equipment, resolves equipment issues, executes batch records and GMP documentation, and ensures adherence to SOPs, cGMPs, and safety procedures. May perform lean activities and lead Level 0 problem-solving on equipment issues; acts as a certified on-the-job trainer and supports process execution team goals. Strong mechanical/electronic knowledge, effective verbal and written communication, and willingness to learn new skills; overtime may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in a regulated production environment, specifically responsible for equipment maintenance and performance
- Ability to effectively understand, read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in the English language
- Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts, tooling, and materials associated with equipment maintenance and repair
