Job Summary

Execute all production processes in a cGMP environment, including visual inspection of lyophilized product, operating machinery such as pipettes and balances, and monitoring equipment for calibration. Perform daily documentation reviews, conduct unit conversions for gravimetric and volumetric measurements, and manage hazardous waste in compliance with regulations. Monitor alarms, clean and sanitize areas, and distribute supplies into the production zone. Assist in training new team members, updating standard operating procedures, and authoring non-conformance reports. This role requires a start time of 6:00 AM or 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and weekend coverage. Located at Argonaut Manufacturing Services Inc. in Carlsbad, CA, the position supports formulation, filling, and kitting operations for the biopharmaceutical industry.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English
  • Knowledge of manufacturing production processes related to product integrity
  • Understanding of basic chemical and biological safety procedures
  • Basic knowledge of formulation, filling, and kitting operations
  • Level II: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry) with at least 1 year of work experience at Argonaut or in manufacturing within a cGMP environment
  • Level II: Associate's degree in a related field
  • Level II: High school diploma/equivalent with 3+ years of related manufacturing experience in a cGMP environment
  • Level III: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry) with 2+ years of work experience at Argonaut or in manufacturing within a cGMP environment
  • Level III: Associate's degree in a related field with 3+ years of related experience
  • Level III: High school diploma/equivalent with 5+ years of related manufacturing experience in a cGMP environment
  • Authorization to work in the US
  • 100% On-Site work
  • Monday - Friday 8 hours/day schedule
  • Availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Scheduled start time of either 6:00 AM or 12:00 PM
  • Ability to work within an ISO 13485 and cGMP production environment
  • Ability to execute documentation based on cGMP and GDP procedures
  • Ability to perform documentation review post manufacturing execution
  • Ability to participate in Quality Working Teams and Continuous Improvement Teams
  • Ability to conduct daily documentation review
  • Ability to operate large machinery and monitor automated equipment
  • Ability to manage hazardous wastes in compliance with company procedures and regulations
  • Ability to perform daily arithmetic calculations for volume and liquid concentrations
  • Ability to perform daily unit conversions for gravimetric and volumetric measurements
  • Ability to operate production equipment such as pipettes, balances, pH meter, and heat sealers
  • Ability to monitor department equipment for proper operation and calibration
  • Ability to perform safety and cGMP inspections or observations
  • Ability to ensure compliance with SOP/cGMP and cGDP requirements
  • Ability to assist in training or leading of new team members in production activities
  • Ability to assist in updating and revising standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Ability to author MFG Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and risk analysis memos
  • Ability to receive and distribute supplies into the production area
  • Ability to perform NetSuite transactions, issue material, and complete work orders
  • Ability to perform local travel between company facilities within approximately 3 miles
  • Ability to assist with review of quality assurance logbooks
