Job Summary
Manufacturing Technician I performs assembly and test of electro-pneumatic medical devices, using hand tools, test equipment, and fixtures. Responsibilities include recording test results with data forms and automated test equipment (DMM, Hi-Pot, automated test station), producing and inspecting assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications, potentially training less experienced team members, and ensuring compliance with GMP and the Quality System. The role requires interpreting engineering drawings, following assembly instructions, using MS Word and MS Excel, maintaining organized production areas, and documenting all assembly and test processes; standard workweek with potential weekends/evenings. Strong focus on safety and a clean, compliant work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in assembly of electro-mechanical, electro-pneumatical systems or equivalent experience in a medical device or aerospace manufacturing environment
- Able to interpret and understand engineering drawings and follow assembly instructions and other company procedures
- Ability to use MS Word and MS Excel
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and maintaining orderly work cells
- Adherence to GMP and Quality System
- Documentation of all assembly and test processes
