Job Summary
Manufacturing Technician I will support aerospace and spaceflight production with hands-on fabrication and structural assembly. Responsibilities include mechanical fabrication using hand tools, cross-training in various manufacturing disciplines, following detailed work instructions, and conducting inspections. The role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to complete documentation accurately. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and up to 2 years of related experience, particularly in sheet metal fabrication and familiarity with aerospace quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years of related assembly or manufacturing experience
- Ability to multi-task and deliver work on schedule
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and Material Management software
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Adheres to OSHA, NADCAP, ISO9000 / AS9100, ITAR, FAA regulations and company specific safety standards
Desired Qualifications
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- Familiarity with aerospace industry quality standards (e.g., AS9100)
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives
- Mechanical aptitude in aerospace, automotive, or motorsports
- Forklift/material handling experience preferred
