Job Summary
Conduct fiber optic splicing, OTDR testing, and potting of mechanical and electronic components while performing Hi-Pot and hydrostatic-pressure testing on assemblies. Execute electro-optic cable terminations, jointing, and sub-surface communications cable management using precision measuring devices and specialized equipment. Interpret schematics, read wiring diagrams, and perform on-the-job training and process improvement initiatives for production teams. Maintain 5S+1 standards, lead GEMBA meetings, and ensure ESD and safety compliance across all work areas. Requires two-year post-secondary education, eight years of electronics manufacturing experience, and 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year post-Secondary/Associates degree
- minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- some college in a technical discipline
- Technical School Training
- High School Diploma
- equivalent work experience required with a minimum of 8 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
- Ability to develop creative yet practical solutions to technical challenges
- Demonstrates experience and ability to interpret schematic diagrams & engineering drawings
- Willing to travel 25% of the calendar
Desired Qualifications
- Certified IPC Specialist to IPC J-STD-001 standards preferred
