Job Summary
Manufacturing Technician at Chariot Defense assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing sub-assemblies and finished products for harsh environments. Responsibilities include wire harness and mechanical assembly, quality control, end-of-line testing, interpreting engineering drawings and wiring diagrams, performing dimensional electrical measurements, and maintaining 100% production traceability within the MES. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency and product manufacturability, while adhering to safety protocols and documenting test results. Preferred credentials include electronics/engineering certification or degrees (AA, Bachelor's), and experience with high-voltage energy storage and high-reliability embedded power electronics. Onsite role in San Bruno, CA with 5-days per week schedule and potential for extended/weekend hours. Compensation range $60,000–$90,000 annually plus benefits and early-stage equity.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional work experience in a manufacturing environment, assembling complex electro-mechanical hardware products
- Experience in assembling electro-mechanical assemblies
- PCBA hand solder / repair
- Wiring/harness assembly
- Testing electronic sub-assemblies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the comfort of working with basic computer software
- Ability to work with pace and quality while adhering to written work instructions, drawings, and documentation
- Willingness to work onsite in our San Bruno, CA, shop 5-days per week as well as work extended and weekend hours, when necessary
