Job Summary
Paint process specialist responsible for supporting technical aspects of planning, driving cost-reduction initiatives, and acting as a key problem solver to ensure efficient, reliable, and high-quality paint operations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting day-to-day paint process issues (coating defects, finish quality, safety), developing and monitoring process improvements to enhance paint application efficiency, quality, and cost performance, leading the design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of paint equipment (e.g., spray booths, curing ovens, application systems), collaborating with suppliers to source materials and technical support, evaluating and approving new paint/equipment/technologies, supporting training related to paint processes, ensuring compliance with Customer Audit Validation for Paint Process, performing root cause analysis and driving corrective actions for paint-related defects, and managing paint operations including pretreatment, e-coat, final paint application, wastewater treatment, and reverse osmosis systems. Required education is a Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering disciplines; candidate should have strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering concepts, reading engineering prints, CQMS/APQP/PPAP processes, and green belt certification is a plus. Location is Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico; schedule is Monday through Friday with potential shifts and up to 10% travel; relocation is not offered.
