Job Summary
Manufacturing Technician needed at Ely on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract. You will manufacture and assemble the company’s surgical robotic system, performing electronics, testing and measurement, plus precision mechanical assembly. Responsibilities include assembling/testing/commissioning integrated electro-mechanical assemblies per predefined instructions, recording test results and build issues, completing manufacturing records and travellers, identifying non-conformances and deviations, working with SOPs and quality system requirements, basic fault-finding, and supporting engineers with root-cause investigations. The role requires proven fine manual-assembly experience, strong hand-eye coordination, ability to maintain accurate records in a cGMP environment, and experience with cable assembly and high-tech/regulated assembly settings. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience carrying out fine manual assembly work requiring steady hands, good hand-eye coordination and sustained concentration
- A can-do attitude for a variety of tasks including goods-in inspection, stock control and manufacture
- A careful approach to assembly, lab and tool use
- The ability to keep accurate records, in line with cGMP
- Cable assembly skills (use of crimp tools, wire cutters and associated hand tools)
- Proven practical experience of high-tech assembly or test (preferably within a regulated environment such as medical/pharmaceutical or aerospace)
