Job Summary
Assemble, test, and commission integrated electro-mechanical assemblies using pre-defined instructions, including precision work on fasteners, connectors, and fine sub-assemblies to defined torque and quality standards. Record test results and build issues accurately, complete manufacturing records and travellers, and identify non-conformances for escalation. Perform basic fault-finding using defined test procedures and support engineers with structured root-cause investigations. Adhere strictly to controlled work instructions, SOPs, and quality system requirements while maintaining accurate records in line with cGMP standards. This 5-month fixed-term contract at our Ely site requires UK work eligibility and offers a competitive salary with benefits including a bonus, pension, and private healthcare.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience carrying out fine manual assembly work requiring steady hands, good hand-eye coordination and sustained concentration
- A can-do attitude for a variety of tasks including, goods-in inspection, stock control and manufacture
- A careful approach to assembly, lab and tool use
- The ability to keep accurate records, in line with cGMP
- Cable assembly skills (use of crimp tools, wire cutters and associated hand tools)
- Proven practical experience of high-tech assembly or test (preferably within a regulated environment such as medical/pharmaceutical or aerospace)
- Eligibility to work within the UK
