Job Summary
Manufacturing Technician leading 2nd shift: supervise mill operators, train and evaluate personnel, coordinate with maintenance and QC to meet production targets; create/feed sheets and understand recipes; manage safety and PPE compliance; enforce lockout/tagout and confined space permits; ensure readiness of products with QA coordination; oversee injury/emergency responses and incident resolutions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous experience in a production environment
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry
- Ability to obtain forklift certification and operate warehouse equipment as needed
- Strong leadership, training, and supervisory skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety and a strong safety record
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Prolonged exposure to loud noises
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to traverse property and facility
- Dexterity in hands and feet to operate forklift controls with precision
- Required to wear PPE in the plant and complete safety training
