Job Summary
The role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing mechanical/electrical issues in manufacturing, providing CNC support (tramming spindles, jaw alignment, dimensional resolution), and driving continuous improvement through lean initiatives, kaizen, and process enhancements. Key duties include training and mentoring production staff, ensuring adherence to safety through Lock-Out/Tag-Out protocols, performing advanced electrical/mechanical/CNC troubleshooting with defect analysis, collaborating with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues, supporting calibration and setup of equipment, and leading projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for handling materials and chemicals
- Ability to set up and calibrate equipment and instruments based on engineering or customer specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage variables in non-standardized situations
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule-based instructions
- Competency in applying mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, quality instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
