Job Summary
Operate production equipment on an assigned line, performing start-up/shut-down procedures, maintaining line speed, and implementing mechanical adjustments and minor repairs. Complete required electrical work under NFPA 70E, operate a forklift, support line changes, inspect finished goods and report quality or equipment issues, and complete accurate production and quality reporting. Follow safety practices, participate in continuous improvement, cross-train toward leadership responsibilities, and assist team members as needed. May participate in training toward leadership and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, or in process of completion
- Minimum six months manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Ability to learn or apply electrical work under NFPA 70E standards
- Basic math and communication skills
- Ability to read and follow safety rules and operating instructions
- Valid state driver’s license
- Forklift experience preferred with ability to obtain certification
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and perform physical job demands throughout the workday
- Ability to work in a non temperature controlled, loud production environment
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Experience in process improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role is advantageous.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Excellent understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in using computer software for data entry and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead by example.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
