Job Summary
Operate process equipment including reactors, pressure filters, and filling/packaging units within large-scale chemical batch manufacturing, adhering to written SOPs and UOPs. Execute unit operations such as equipment changeovers with Lock Out Tag Out protocols, elutriation processes, R-Bead polymerization, and bead coating. Maintain batch and equipment records per ISO13485 standards while supporting 5S and continuous improvement activities. Perform duties under corporate EH&S standards with emphasis on safety and quality, wearing required PPE including steel toe shoes, respirators, and smocks. Work 12-hour 2-2-3 night shifts (6:00pm–6:30am) every other weekend. Assist with maintenance and distribution as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing, laboratory, or related field experience
- Ability to lift 40 lbs without assistance
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret data
- Ability to perform basic calculations
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to stand for 80% of the shift
- Ability to move ~40 lbs up one flight of stairs
- Ability to push 55 gallon drums on wheeled dollies
- Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, safety glasses, bump cap, and nitrile gloves
- Ability to wear face shield, respirator, and smock if required
- Ability to work with hazardous/toxic materials
- Experience in cGMP Environment
- Use of Delta V
