Job Summary
Cut glass to required lengths and features, etch layers, and rinse items in acid baths between steps. Produce and inspect in-process products for quality and adherence to customer specifications while following process procedures, work orders, and drawings. Perform detail work including waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, acid washing, and cosmetic inspection. Maintain equipment by detecting and correcting minor malfunctions, performing daily and monthly maintenance as directed. Keep the work area safe, organized, and clean while wearing all required PPE, including goggles, aprons, and respirators, strictly following safety protocols for chemical handling. This role supports Tosoh Quartz's global semiconductor solutions through precision manufacturing of high-precision silica glass components.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to accurately follow instructions
- Able to lift and extend with arms outstretched, up to 60 lbs. independently, or up to 120 lbs., with assistance
- Aptitude for learning; blueprints, machine mathematics and precision measurement equipment
- Able to wear all required, Company-provided safety gear during your shift. This includes goggles, aprons, boots, acid pants (optional), 2 sets of gloves, and a half mask or PAPR respirator
- Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and background screenings
