Job Summary

Operate CNC machinery including mills, lathes, and gun drills while loading raw materials and monitoring for unusual sounds or vibrations. Perform quality inspections using micrometers and dial indicators to verify parts against work instructions, then deburr and blend imperfections on finished products. Maintain equipment, tooling, and fixtures; ensure proper housekeeping by removing oil and grease from work surfaces. Monitor tool wear, clock in and out of designated systems, and record production quantities accurately. Participate in daily toolbox meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in safety, 6S, quality, delivery, and productivity. Work Mon/Tues/Wed from 7am to 7:30pm under direct supervision.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to pass the basic skills assessment in Mathematics, Metrology, Blueprint Reading, and Operator Work Instructions
Must have a level of manual dexterity to perform all job functions
Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
Must be able to work varying shifts as needed
Must be able to conform to and operate within the framework of all applicable operator work instructions, SOPs, quality, safety procedures, and any items deemed necessary by your supervisor or leadership
Must be able to properly and safely load and unload raw materials in CNC machinery in accordance with operator work instructions
Must be able to monitor machine for unusual sound or vibration and report to supervision
Must be able to remove finished product, deburr edges, and blend imperfections
Must be able to assess tools and monitor for wear; notify appropriate personnel for replacement if needed
Must be able to monitor, check, and test the quality of parts produced in accordance with inspection sheets and work instructions using micrometers, dial indicators, hard gauging, and other precision measuring instruments
Must be able to clean and maintain machine, tooling, and fixtures to keep equipment in optimal production condition
Must be able to maintain proper housekeeping of work area; keep all machines, tools, equipment, and work surfaces free of oil, grease, etc.; prevent and reduce clutter
Must be able to properly clock in and out of designated systems for time and attendance and production work orders; accurately record production quantities
Must be able to detect and notify supervision of faulty machine operations, defective materials, and unusual conditions
Must be able to properly follow and maintain documents such as travelers, inspection sheets, PM logs, and product non-conformance reports
Must be able to work as a member of a team under direct supervision
Must be able to demonstrate commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures
