Job Summary
Ensure continuous production flow while adhering to safety, quality, and cost standards. Identify issues, engage Tier 1 teams for resolution, and escalate to Tier 2 as needed. Partner with Value Stream Supervisors to facilitate training, provide coaching, and maintain cross-training matrices. Coordinate employee movement, lead daily Tier 1 meetings, and drive continuous improvement using AMS tools like 5 Why and PDCA. Complete standard work audits, enforce safety procedures, and support other production areas including cycle counting. Maintain visual management tools to drive engagement and business metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations
- Knowledge and application of continuous improvement processes such as 5s and problem-solving methods
- Knowledge of operations products, processes, and equipment including safety, quality, changeover and set-up skills and knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and basic machine diagnostic skills
- Understand the interdependencies (manufacturing/functional groups) across the value stream
- Requires intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate employees
- Demonstrated skill in identifying constraints or barriers, problem solving, delegation and sound decision making
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and effectively working with others
- Flexible, self-motivated, and life-long learner with demonstrated initiative
- 2nd shift availability
- 5X8 schedule availability
