Job Summary
Ensure continuous production flow while adhering to safety, quality, and cost standards. Identify issues, engage Tier 1 teams for resolution, and escalate to Tier 2 as needed. Partner with Value Stream Supervisors to facilitate training, provide coaching, and maintain cross-training matrices. Coordinate employee movement to meet business needs and lead daily Tier 1 meetings. Drive continuous improvement using AMS tools like 5 Why and PDCA, maintaining visual management boards. Complete standard work audits and corrective actions from the MCA process. Enforce all safety procedures and proactively address concerns. Support other production areas for project coverage and cycle counting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations
- Knowledge and application of continuous improvement processes such as 5s and problem-solving methods
- Lean training or certification
- Knowledge of operations products, processes, and equipment including safety, quality, changeover and set-up skills and knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and basic machine diagnostic skills
- Understanding of the interdependencies (manufacturing/functional groups) across the value stream
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate employees
- Demonstrated skill in identifying constraints or barriers, problem solving, delegation and sound decision making
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and effectively working with others
- Flexible, self-motivated, and life-long learner with demonstrated initiative
