Job Summary
Manufacturing Systems Architect for MBDA's missile portfolio overseeing the manufacturing system's technical readiness. Leads Spiral Development and obsolescence management from a manufacturing perspective, coordinates production-system validation and certification, and drives continuous improvement and risk-management initiatives. Acts as a credible senior technical authority across Project and Domain levels, guiding CAPEX submissions and ensuring production areas can meet rate requirements. Hybrid work arrangement with 2–3 days on-site in Bolton, UK; requires SC clearance and British/dual UK citizenship. The role emphasizes stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to maintain readiness for current and future production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Security Clearance: SC (Sensitive Compartmented)
- British Citizenship or Dual UK national with British citizenship
- Experience leading manufacturing systems and industrialisation activities
- Proven technical background in engineering and manufacturing, preferably in defence
