Job Summary
Manufacturing Systems and Simulation MP&P Engineer responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and design for software systems, automated hardware systems, and industrial robotics; integrating software components into a fully functional system; performing development, integration, and testing of automated hardware systems; driving process improvement and ensuring quality, safety and reliability; collaborating with customers and peers to meet operational and performance expectations; supporting agile project management, estimation, and planning. Role requires advanced programming and integration of automated manufacturing equipment (CNC, PLC, robotics) and experience across software and hardware domains; strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team; travel to locations outside South Carolina as needed. The position is 100% in-person in North Charleston, SC with potential travel, and requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related aerospace/manufacturing experience; preferred qualifications include deeper data modeling, cross-functional engineering workflows, and full software development lifecycle experience in manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years of industry experience in aerospace or large-scale manufacturing
- Programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of experience in programming and integrating automated manufacturing equipment, including CNC, PLC, and robotic systems, leveraging CAD/CAM and real-time software development
