Job Summary
Promote a safe and sustainable working environment by modeling safe behaviors, resolving safety-related problems, and identifying hazards. Establish priorities and allocate work assignments using lean management processes to meet daily production requirements, while monitoring production rates, yields, and quality. Lead, coach, and develop employees through direct floor presence, training completion oversight, and policy administration, including participation in hiring processes. Represent plant leadership by supporting initiatives across the plant, including supervision coverage for alternative shifts and on-call duties. This role requires a 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM overnight shift with rotating days off in Tonawanda, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or higher (completed and verified prior to the start)
- seven (7) years of supervisory experience in one or more of the following areas: Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to the start) from an accredited institution
- two (2) years of supervisory experience in one or more of the following areas: Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
- All US-based 3M full time employees will need to sign an employee agreement as a condition of employment with 3M
- 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Overnight) shift

- Travel: May include up to 5% of domestic

Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervision experience
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- MS Office proficiency
- Experience leading daily tier management process, leading improvement projects (kaizens), and participation in Six Sigma Green Belt projects
