Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Summary

Supervise daily fabrication activities including welding, cutting, forming, machining, and assembly to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines. Lead, train, and motivate the production team while enforcing safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA compliance. Monitor production output, efficiency, and labor utilization, troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions. Ensure products meet drawings and specifications by working with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve non-conformances. Coordinate material availability with planning, purchasing, and warehouse teams, and support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is based on the production floor with extended standing and potential overtime. MCG accelerates time-to-power for mission-critical environments across data centers, healthcare, and industrial facilities.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience
  • 4+ years of sheet metal fabrication or CNC operator
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
  • Tools include Trump, Accupress, Allen wrenches, grinders, break press, punch press, forklift, crane, shears and calipers
  • Excellent mechanical skills and aptitude in supporting CNC sheet metal equipment, the ability to visualize 3D parts from cut sheets
  • Good math skills and qualified basic computer skills
  • Self-motivated and able to identify, examine, and resolve issues independently from others
  • Hold a strong regard for guidelines, procedures, and integrity
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
  • Familiarity with production scheduling and ERP/MRP systems
  • Understanding of quality standards and safety regulations
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced production environment
  • Directly supervise, train and develop a team
  • Must be available for extended shifts, weekends, or holidays
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, work around machinery, and adhere to all safety and compliance standards
  • Must be able to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and climb stairs
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to fifty (50) pounds following OSHA standards
  • Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively with team members
