Job Summary
Manufacturing Supervisor responsible for guiding production employees, planning and scheduling operations in a high-performance alloy manufacturing environment. Role emphasizes maintaining organized work areas, promoting safety, addressing performance issues, communicating effectively on the shop floor, and driving department and company goals. Requires supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong problem-solving and project-management skills, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to train and develop staff; overtime, weekend, and shift work are expected. Latrobe, PA-based role within Carpenter Technology's operations, supporting aerospace, energy, and other markets with advanced materials and AM capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Two year college degree preferred
- High school diploma required
- Two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operational environment preferred
- MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving and project management skills
- Practical understanding of industrial/manufacturing principles, standards, methods, and practices
- Ability to direct and supervise others, evaluate performance, and train and develop others
- Able to work overtime, weekend work and shift work
- Willing to work in a fast paced, ever changing work environment
