Job Summary
Direct and supervise inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and surveys of aircraft structural metals to meet preservation requirements. Lead efforts to eliminate deterioration and accomplish corrosion control while overseeing the aircraft wash rack operation. Direct major aircraft structural repairs and troubleshoot structural issues involving plastic, fiberglass, and metal components. Supervise airframe repair activities and establish an On-the-Job-Training program. Requires seven years of AFSC 243X4 experience with mandatory F-15 Airframe Repair Specialist qualification and sheet metal or plastic component repair background. Required Qualifications
- minimum of seven 7 years' experience in AFSC 243X4
- two (2) years at the seven (7) levels on high performance fighter aircraft
- Qualification as an F-15 Airframe Repair Specialist
- experience in performing or supervising functions such as fabrication or repair of sheet metal or plastic aircraft structural components
