Job Summary
Manage the assigned production area from receipt of incoming materials through delivery of finished products, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. Oversee daily operations by coordinating staffing levels, managing labor allocation, and arranging coverage for absences. Lead production employees through coaching, performance management, and cross-training initiatives while driving continuous improvement and 5S practices. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production Control to address operational needs and verify completion of required inspections. Maintain accurate production records, staffing documentation, and labor balancing reports within established budget guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Equivalent advanced manufacturing training
- Equivalent combination of manufacturing leadership experience and education
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to build productive relationships with employees, peers, leadership, customers, and external contacts
- Experience using manufacturing systems and standard business software to complete daily activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Citizen of the United States
- Permanent resident alien of the United States
