Job Summary
Plan, supervise, and direct daily production operations while anticipating and alleviating issues like material shortages or equipment malfunctions to achieve shift goals. Utilize skills, materials, and workflow to meet production and quality objectives, exchanging timely information with internal and external supervisors on product flow and workforce needs. Coach, instruct, train, and motivate hourly employees to achieve objectives safely, managing departmental teams and introducing cost reductions or continuous improvements. Lead safety and housekeeping practices, enforce company rules, and assist HR in disciplinary procedures while handling production-related administrative tasks such as payroll approvals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous leadership experience in a role such as Team Lead or supervisor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional motivator, skilled in leading teams and conflict resolution skills
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
- Ability to supervise fast-paced industrial environment
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP software
