Job Summary
Supervise machine operating staff on the 2nd shift (M-F, 3p-11p) using the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management to drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Lead continuous improvement projects by implementing root cause analyses, coaching team members on problem-solving, and facilitating Kaizen events. Manage team engagement through regular meetings, cross-training, and performance coaching while overseeing vacation schedules, overtime, and labor relations issues. Review hour-by-hour boards, sign-off on production reports, and partner with Safety, Quality, and HR to investigate corrective actions for injuries and customer complaints.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in steel manufacturing or tube forming strongly preferred
