Job Summary
Execute schedule and cost management while leading a 15-20 person manufacturing operations cell on the 2nd shift. Plan workforce forecasting, handle hiring and training, and track time and attendance to meet contractual quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Direct area layout and flow management, control overhead expenses, and ensure full compliance with company policies. Lead safety improvement projects and engage daily with manufacturing engineering, maintenance, production control, finance, and the program management office. Implement continuous improvement initiatives using six sigma and lean methodologies to achieve critical performance goals.
Required Qualifications
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
- University Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices
- Supervisory, Leadership and/or Manufacturing experience
- Experience working in and/or guiding a CNC Machine Shop supervising bargaining unit employees in the aerospace/defense industry
- Experience assigning, managing, and measuring work assignments to completion
- Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean / six sigma implementation projects
- Experience leading a team-based manufacturing environment with minimal supervision
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access) and/or SAP
- Onsite work location
- 2nd shift availability
