Manufacturing Supervisor - 1st Shift

Job Summary

Lead and support a team of manufacturing technicians during daily operations within the AOF AGT production area, ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements and quality standards. Coach and develop employees through performance discussions, training, and mentorship while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance. Monitor production metrics, resolve issues to maintain efficiency, and partner with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet customer commitments. Work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM in a Grand Island, NY facility requiring adherence to safety protocols and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed
  • Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
  • Will work with hazardous/toxic materials
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or a related environment
  • Experience managing production schedules, workflows, and resource planning
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in cGMP and/or ISO-regulated environments
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, squat, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hair covering, and additional PPE as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience documenting work accurately and following quality and safety procedures
  • Comfortable collaborating across departments to achieve production goals
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing experience is highly desirable
  • Experience working in cGMP and/or ISO-regulated environments preferred
