Job Summary
Manufacturing Specialist on a night shift responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance and operation of a high-speed ammunition production line. Works as part of a team to address line issues, implements ongoing improvement activities, and performs maintenance to increase equipment reliability and uptime. Documents checks, services, and repairs to maintain warranties and regulatory compliance; performs repairs to mechanical systems, avoids electrical work, and supports safety and 5S housekeeping standards. Requires proficiency with PLC-controlled equipment, reading machine manuals and schematics, and utilizing measurement tools; expects experience with AC/DC and servo motors, sensors and switches, and the ability to read process instructions. Eligible applicants must meet export-control requirements and must be able to pass background and safety evaluations. The role requires overtime as needed and may include varied shift schedules including nights.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of industrial or specialized maintenance experience preferred
- 2 years verifiable experience in a position with similar duties and responsibilities
- Ability to read and comprehend process instructions
- Experience with PLC controlled, high-speed production equipment
- Proficiency with mechanical drive experience and the use of precision measurement tools
- Ability to work a 4 day/7 shift operation
- Pass written comprehension test and mechanical aptitude evaluation
- Knowledge of AC/DC and servo motors, sensors, and related control systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervision
