Job Summary
Coordinate cell operations and manage product flow under the Production Supervisor to ensure continuous manufacturing with minimal interruption. Comply with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards while packing and unpacking orders to maintain department schedules. Utilize warehouse technology to locate stock, update inventory spreadsheets, and create shipping labels for domestic and international carriers. Liaise with warehouse overseers regarding product ordering and storage, then troubleshoot shipping issues, delayed items, and rush orders to improve dispatch efficiency. Solve customer and supplier problems related to routes and documentation while performing administrative duties such as answering phones and providing customer service. Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks, ensuring all freight and export paper regulations are met.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or HSED/GED Equivalent
- Good computer skills
- Ability to learn new skills as needed
- One to two years of training
- Must be forklift certified
- Ability to effectively communicate with other employees
- Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, part drawings, shop orders, work plans, and short correspondence
- Ability to write standard reports and documentation
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to operate various equipment to include computer, various precision measuring devices and lifting devices
- Broad knowledge of tooling, material characteristics, and general manufacturing and machining practices
- Knowledgeable and/or familiar with applicable ISO/TS and quality system requirements and policies
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
- Close vision
