Job Summary
Manufacturing Shift Lead overseeing day-to-day production activities for energy storage systems. Lead and coordinate technicians on shift, allocate labor and resources in real time, and ensure manufacturing processes, work instructions, and safety procedures are followed. Act as the primary point of contact for shift execution and issue escalation; support onboarding, training, and adherence to standard work; verify readiness at shift start (materials, tools, staffing, documentation); identify deviations and take corrective action. Drive root-cause and corrective-action efforts for recurring quality issues; track daily production output against plan; communicate status, risks, and blockers to leadership; maintain shift handoff notes and quality records; support data collection for throughput, downtime, and quality reporting. Champion safety, identify hazards, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, MES usage) and line changeovers. This role is a hands-on working leader responsible for delivering safe, high-quality output and continuously improving throughput as Peak Energy scales from pilot builds to repeatable ESS manufacturing. Strong communication, safety focus, and a proactive approach to quality and efficiency are required.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Prior experience leading shifts, teams, or work cells (formal or informal)
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule including weekends and 12-hour shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or associate degree preferred
