Manufacturing Safety Specialist - Plant 3

Job Summary
Manage and monitor programs ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while implementing and investigating accident prevention activities in the plant. Coordinate safety training, lead monthly safety meetings, and investigate safety-related incidents. Maintain plant-based safety teams and order safety equipment/supplies. Review employee surveys and provide feedback on continuous improvement suggestions. Requires OSHA certification, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to present to large groups. Located in New Knoxville, OH, 1st shift Monday through Friday with 2nd and 3rd shift support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and/or OSHA certification
- Organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point applications
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations for employees as well as management
- Ability to speak in front of large groups of people
- Position located in New Knoxville, Ohio: 07587 State Rt 219, New Knoxville, OH 45871
- 1st Shift – Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with 2nd and 3rd shift support as needed
- Work authorization in the United States (no sponsorship provided)
Desired Qualifications
- A four-year college degree
- Two-year degree along with safety experience
- Experience in training lift truck operators
- Post high school training in safety and/or ergonomics
