Job Summary
Lead a team of 10 safety and security professionals in a large plant (over 600 employees) to develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive health and safety program; drive a multi-year strategy for continuous safety improvement; oversee accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action; ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA/EPA and other standards; build and manage safety committees; conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies; champion a culture of safety through collaboration and impactful initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in health and safety within a medium to large manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of supervisory/leadership/management experience
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies
- Experience leading accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action
- A passion for continuous improvement (Lean principles a plus)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- CSP certification is a plus
