Job Summary
Operate AOI, SPI, and X-ray equipment to detect component misalignments and soldering defects while performing in-process visual examinations for discoloration, shorts, burns, and contamination. Sort and rework non-conforming products, document findings, and segregate materials according to customer specifications and IPC guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and complete all assigned safety and operational training. Requires 1–2 years of experience in automated manufacturing, strong visual acuity, and proficiency in AOI/SPI equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in automated manufacturing or wave solder operations
- Ability to obtain and maintain required job certifications (e.g., IPC standards)
- Proficiency in AOI/SPI equipment
- Ability to read setup sheets
- Basic computer data entry skills
- Use of measurement tools (e.g., hydrometers, LSM)
- Strong visual acuity
- Excellent color perception
- Precise manual dexterity
- Solid foundational math skills
- Detail-oriented, logical approach to problem-solving
- Clear verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across all levels
- Proficiency in basic PC operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in SAP
- Proficiency in email applications
- Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods during shift hours
- Ability to strictly follow state and federal environmental and safety regulations
- Ability to utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
