Job Summary

Perform first detailed inspection of incoming, purged parts, materials, components, assemblies, equipment, and documents while coordinating material disposition. Determine or assist in establishing inspection methods, sequences, and procedures based on written specifications, drawings, and sketches. Generate Engineering Change Requests to address drawing issues and adapt measuring devices as needed. Work from blueprints and engineering drawings to maintain accurate records, utilizing specialized equipment and computer systems. Requires high school education, two years of related experience, and IPC 610 and 620 certifications. Salary ranges from $18.89 to $31.49 per hour with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Requires inspection experience
  • An understanding of inspection techniques
  • Reading skills
  • Writing skills
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • The ability to use specialized equipment
  • The ability to read difficult instructions
  • The ability to maintain written records
  • The ability to interpret and utilize blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat
  • Ability to move/position objects up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to regularly operate manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level
  • Ability to perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to operate in a professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing environment

Desired Qualifications

  • IPC 610 and 620 certifications preferred
  • Inspection of sheet metal and/or cables & wire assembly preferred
  • Piece part inspection preferred
  • Experience with Oracle, Agile, MS Office and Copilot preferred
  • Microsoft office experience
  • Database management experience
