Manufacturing QA Technician II

Job Summary
Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished milk products while monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with safety and food standards. Perform regular inspections, document equipment calibration, and implement Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues, evaluate test result trends, and maintain daily records for internal and external audits. Follow up on customer complaints and drive continuous improvement to maintain a 6-S rating of an "A." Work the specified 2nd shift from Wednesday to Saturday with occasional overtime, reporting directly to management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of QA experience
- Bachelor's degree preferable
- Additional relevant certifications
- Strong mindfulness and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and duties as they relate to food safety and regulatory compliance
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility to work the specified shift and occasionally on weekends if required
- Good analytical and critical thinking skills
- Able to multi-task in fast paced environment with limited supervision
- Proficient in window-based PC programs
- Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Manager is looking for 2nd shift 4x10
- Work days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 4pm - 2am
- Candidate will be off Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
- Candidate must be open for occasional overtime if needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in quality assurance or a similar role in food production
- Candidates with microbology or chemical laboratory experience
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulations
- Lab Test Equipment/Maintenance
- Some knowledge of HACCP/Food Safety
