Job Summary

Lead complex manufacturing projects within a matrix organisation, managing scope, schedule, and quality data to mitigate risks and deliver opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders across the UK and internationally to influence customers, suppliers, and senior management while briefing on deviations and negotiating changes. Construct and maintain project plans using Primavera or Microsoft Project, compile bid estimates, and manage day-to-day tactical actions. This role requires a proven track record in fixed cost programme delivery within an engineering or production environment. Candidates must be a British citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks. Salary is circa £50,000 with hybrid working (2-3 days on-site). MBDA is a leading defence organisation supporting the Armed Forces and delivering essential military capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Accomplished Project Manager with a proven track record in the delivery of fixed cost programmes, within a matrix organisation
  • Able to operate effectively in a matrix or cross functional environment, interfacing and influencing customers and suppliers as well as briefing to senior management level
  • Experience of management of project scope, identifying deviations and negotiation of changes and their impact on the overall project
  • An eye for detail, able to identify risks and opportunity trends within in cost, schedule and quality data and able formulate plans in order to mitigate risk and deliver opportunities
  • Enthusiastic and pro-active individual who can prioritise objectives as well as managing the day-to-day tactical actions
  • Able to construct and maintain project plans and familiar with project planning software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
  • Experience in the compilation of bid and estimates based on previous products or by working with design and engineering teams on new product definitions
  • Able to work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the organisation
  • British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
  • HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)
