Job Summary
Support project teams on the successful commercialization and start-up of new equipment and processes. Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements on medium to large scale projects. Interface with design, product engineering, and supply chain partners on design for manufacturability and process capability. Provide recommendations regarding the viability of developed design solutions and develop specifications to procure production equipment or complete production lines. Demonstrate knowledge of DMAIC tools including process mapping, FMEA, and DOE. Create training tools, documents, and standard operating procedures for production processes. Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes. Work independently on small projects or coordinate with others over portions of larger projects. This hybrid role includes approximately 25% travel and is located in Cottage Grove, Minnesota or Locust Grove, Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Engineering or Technology
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Equipment procurement and capital project experience
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability
- Positive attitude with a desire to build relationships and serve both our internal and external customers
- Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling
- This is a hybrid role with approximately 25% travel
- This role is available in either Cottage Grove, Minnesota or Locust Grove, Georgia
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience preferred with mechanical aptitude
