Job Summary
Manufacturing Project Engineer responsible for leading the full project lifecycle of custom equipment for food-processing systems. Acts as the central hub among Sales, Design, Electrical Engineering, and Manufacturing to define scope, map layouts, set production timelines, and establish manufacturing locations. Manages budgets, sources components from external vendors, and ensures drawings gain customer approval before production. Oversees quality assurance and equipment testing, collaborates with Field Service for on-site installation, and manages project wrap-up. Requires strong cross-functional collaboration, excellent communication, and the ability to juggle timelines, budgets, and technical documentation. Travel as needed. Preferred experience with Autodesk Inventor; background in food processing equipment or manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in sales engineering, application engineering, or project engineering
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Willingness to travel as required
