Job Summary
Proactively identify business opportunities, assess overall impact, and justify to senior stakeholders for capital investment. Lead full-scope project management for NPI or improvement initiatives from initiation to production, managing budgets, resources, and program completion. Facilitate manufacturing process solutions by working with functional teams using tools like process flows and PFMEA, while promoting lean and quality focus. Monitor project health and issue management to ensure People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost targets are achieved. Develop equipment specifications, establish suppliers, and coach others in standardized workflows to drive design for manufacturing and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering or technical discipline
- Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes
- Ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics
- Ability to plan, organize, monitor, budgets and control projects
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety
- Ability to identify work-related hazards
- Knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies and techniques
- Knowledge of the philosophy, fundamentals and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing
- A good understanding of Machining
- A good understanding of Product Handling
- A good understanding of Heat Treatment
- A good understanding of Inspection and product Finishing processes
- Experience of leading quality concern resolution with tools such as 8D, 5why, fishbone diagrams and other appropriate quality tools
- 6 Sigma project leadership experience
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of robotic systems
