Job Summary
Perform bench and machine operations to clean, polish, break edges, form radii, blend defects, remove contamination, excess material, flash, and detect unusual defects in material or workmanship. Work from operation sheets, blueprints, sketches, and plastic bodies to plan the entire sequence of work. Select, sharpen, and make special tooling as required, while using lighting aids, inspection gages, and visual magnification to meet quality specifications. Maintain exceptional visual acuteness and eye/hand coordination to visually inspect work, detect abnormalities, and react to them. Work onsite in Torrance, CA with a schedule requiring access to U.S. export-controlled information. Join Moog's Military Aircraft Group in a warm, respectful, family-like environment.
Required Qualifications
- demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English
- demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- 3 months or more of experience in deburring or finishing, in an aerospace machine shop environment
- Fine motor skills
- keen attention to detail
- Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent visual acuteness
- eye/hand coordination
- Exceptional attention to detail to visually inspect one's own work
