Job Summary
Manufacturing Process Engineer to support the manufacturing process development activities, manufacturing trouble shooting, repair and rework planning within the Manufacturing Engineering department. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining product definitions, manufacturing sketches, engineering master and other process documents; creating 3D models, performing tolerance stack-up, gear calculations, and heat treat calculations; supporting shop-floor engineering, MRB activities, and quality initiatives; reviewing and approving engineering changes (ECR/ECNs/DARs); assisting with CNC programming and tool design to optimize processes; liaising with customers, contracts, tooling, and quality representatives on concessions, deviations, and corrective actions; ensuring complete and accurate technical data in manufacturing engineering. Requirements include US citizenship or permanent resident status due to ITAR, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience, 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, GD&T capability, Lean/Six Sigma familiarity, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent manufacturing experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer
- Complete ability to read & develop engineering drawings with GD&T
- Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment
- Understanding of spur/helical/bevel/spline geometry & nomenclature
- Quality orientation and attention to detail
- Problem analysis and problem resolution
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques
