Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct work measurement studies and develop layouts utilizing lean manufacturing principles to optimize machine utilization and reduce set-up times. Create and maintain process specifications, work instructions, and preventative maintenance schedules while supervising daily activities for the maintenance department and its technicians. Lead quality improvement projects, analyze production data, and coordinate new product introductions to minimize waste and lower costs. Manage multiple engineering projects, document technical results, and implement continuous improvement methodologies such as TPS and Six Sigma across manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong industrial experience as a Process Engineer
- 7-10 years of practical manufacturing and engineering experience in designing and improving manufacturing processes
- Must be flexible with job assignments
- Must be organized, methodical
- Must be able to work independently
- Must work well with others
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must work to an established timeline
- Must manage multiple medium or large scope projects
- Must communicate well
- Must properly document results of test procedures
- Must be experienced with continuous improvement methodologies such as Toyota Production System (TPS), Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma
- Mechanical aptitude and dexterity is required
- Travel is required
