Job Summary
Manage moderately complex engineering projects by coordinating work to meet quality, cost, and time objectives. Prepare project schedules, review cost estimates, compile equipment information, and write appropriation requests. Develop, implement, and support assigned technologies, products, and processes while ensuring adherence to Pella's Safety, Quality, Project Management, and Continuous Improvement Systems. Serve as a technical resource for team members by providing engineering recommendations and assisting with project execution. Independently evaluate engineering principles to define project objectives and investigate multiple variables for product and process modifications.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience beyond education to support and deliver high quality products and processes through the application of engineering principles
- Exhibits competency and begins to develop expertise in multiple engineering technologies
- Capability to lead a team in technical projects
- Capability to supervise non-exempt and hourly employees
- Ability to independently evaluate, select and apply engineering principles to product and process modifications
- Ability to exercise independent judgment to define project objectives and engineering / scientific approach
- Ability to develop unclear objectives
- Ability to investigate multiple variables
