Job Summary
The Process Engineer will determine cost-effective production methods using Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and Six Sigma to boost productivity. Responsibilities include managing process improvements, designing/improving systems for scheduling and capacity planning, collaborating with vendors and customers, and developing SOPs and work instructions. Requires strong CAD/3D modeling skills, formal Lean training, 5+ years manufacturing experience (steel preferred), and familiarity with ISO standards and ERP systems. On-site role based in Chambersburg, PA, with a focus on increasing efficiency and ensuring quality throughout production.
Required Qualifications
- Strong CAD/3D modeling skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Formal Lean training (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, etc.) required; Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt a plus
- 5+ years in a similar manufacturing role; steel experience strongly preferred
- Experience in materials control, production control and quality control
- Create SOPs and Work Instructions
- Excellent interpersonal communication and training/documentation skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and IATF 16949 familiarity
