Job Summary
Manufacturing Process Engineer sought to support production floors for fiber cable and transceiver assemblies; responsibilities include process analysis to improve throughput, failure analysis, CAD design and documentation, BOM and ERP management, training of technicians, and cross-functional project management. Role supports production capability enhancement, reliability and quality assessment, and adherence to AS9100/ISO9001 practices; onsite in Cleveland or Highland Heights, OH with opportunities to influence multiple floors (interconnects, optoelectronics, and generalist tracks). Must bring hands-on engineering skills, collaboration across departments, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering preferred
- 4 years of manufacturing and/or mechanical engineering experience or equivalent experience
- 2 years of CAD design experience in a manufacturing environment; proficiency in SolidWorks preferred
- Working knowledge of engineering design and test
- Familiarity with PCBs, electrical/optical connectors and contacts and military specifications
- Understanding of fiber-optic cable and transceiver products and processes
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 practices and documentation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to build fiber cable and transceiver products
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; highly detail-oriented
