Job Summary
Lead OEE continuous improvement efforts on CNC lathes and collaborate with operators, technicians and other engineers in the machine shop. Drive sustaining and new product introduction projects delivering validated, high-quality products; manage capital equipment procurement from ideation through quoting and implementation; perform thorough analyses using lean and six sigma tools to prioritize options that maximize value; support manufacturing operations to ensure uninterrupted production of life-saving products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- 3+ years of CNC machining process engineering in a private, public, government or military environment
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering, process engineering or automation experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Desired Qualifications
- Swiss lathes experience
- CNC Lathe programming and troubleshooting
- CAD/CAM software experience
- Fixture development/procurement/qualification
- OEE
- GD&T
- CMM
- PFMEA
- DFM/A
- 3D CAD modeling fixture and tooling (Solidworks preferred)
- Lean Manufacturing methods and tools
- Operator instruction development/training
