Manufacturing Process Engineer II

Job Summary

Coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products conform to engineering design and customer specifications. Develop documentation for capital equipment acquisition, design improved procedures, and recommend new manufacturing methods to increase productivity and reduce cost. Oversee product system design interfacing machines and hardware, analyze data for feasibility, and apply statistical methods to estimate process capabilities. Maintain CAD documentation for equipment and plant layouts while negotiating long-term supplier agreements and evaluating field installations. Will lead cross-functional project teams on a project-by-project basis. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2-4 years of manufacturing experience, AutoCAD proficiency, and 25% travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 2-4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Visio
  • Excellent analytical/problem solving skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of NPV and ROI in regards to capital acquisition and appropriation
  • Experience & knowledge in defining & documenting processes including process flow, PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions
  • Experience and knowledge in statistical process control
  • Experience and knowledge in lean manufacturing
  • Experience and knowledge in reading part, gauge, and machine drawings
  • Knowledgeable in capital appropriation implementation and management
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Desired Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt experience
  • Ability to motivate, develop people, communicate, listen, perceive, and be open-minded and able to learn from others
