Job Summary

Map current-state workflows and build gap analyses to drive action plans for DNC, spindle monitoring, RFID tooling, and ERP integration. Develop manufacturing process plans, work instructions, and quality control plans from first article through production, ensuring floor-level execution for initial SKUs. Coordinate with programming and quality on job launches, inspection criteria, and non-conformance investigations while identifying process improvements to reduce cycle time and improve yield. Maintain process documentation in the document control system to ensure long-term consistency. This role supports Delva's mid-transformation to documented, repeatable processes for aerospace and defense components, utilizing high-precision CNC equipment in a two-shift environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on work experience in a precision machining environment)
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
  • Hands-on familiarity with CNC machining operations and the process documentation that supports them (work instructions, MPPs, inspection plans)
  • Methodical, organized approach to documentation: you write things down, keep them current, and build systems that others can follow
  • Comfortable working in a regulated environment, including ITAR data handling and quality management system requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with DNC systems, spindle monitoring software, RFID-based tooling management, or ERP implementation in a machining environment
  • Industrial engineering background with formal process improvement or workflow design experience
  • AS9100 or aerospace/defense program experience, including FAI, source inspection, or audit support
  • Management or team lead experience (a real differentiator for this role)
  • Familiarity with Mazak equipment or 5-axis horizontal machining workflows
