Manufacturing/Process Engineer

Job Summary
Review customer requirements and create or modify manufacturing processes for aircraft sub-assemblies, contoured sheet metal, and CNC machined parts. Translate technical specifications into the Global Shop ERP system, including Bills of Materials, tooling, gauges, and inspection requirements. Develop shop assist drawings and work instructions to clearly convey manufacturing and quality standards to the shop floor. Assist in designing tooling and fixtures, evaluate parts in MRB for rework, and diagnose shop floor issues during production. Collaborate with Quality, Quoting, and Production departments to drive process improvements that generate cost and time savings. Utilize CAD software and MBD parts to support production workflows.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a related field
- minimum of 6 years' experience in similar technical role with no degree
- experience working with Sikorsky drawings and methods
- Understanding of drawing standards and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- experience in aerospace industry
- experience with sheet metal and CNC machining
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills as well as common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to diagnosis shop floor issues during manufacturing
- Must be able to work under moderate supervision independently as well as within a team
- Experience with CAD software's and ERP systems

Desired Qualifications
- BS degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a related field, or a minimum of 6 years' experience in similar technical role with no degree, but experience working with Sikorsky drawings and methods is preferred
